These rear carbon fiber splitters actually make a pretty big difference to the appearance of the car. These were the last bit of carbon pieces that I added to my F30 BMW Build. They finished off the carbon theme I had going on quite well.

You can pick these up here:

The install is extremely simple. Some people run these without self tapping screws, I personally don’t think that is a great idea as these do take a bit of downforce and will inevitably fly off with enough force.

The 3m is a great bond, but the self tapping screws are there for reassurance.

Here is what we need to install these:

Make sure to clean the surface area very well before applying the 3m. I suggest using isopropyl and a microfiber towel.

You may need to pilot a few holes for your self tapping screws, make sure the holes are smaller than the screws themselves, use a small bit. I piloted two holes, one on each end.

Once you have piloted your holes, you can apply your 3M. Just make sure to cover any areas of contact.

Application is as simple as it looks, I like to line up the front of the splitter with the part of the bumper that meets the inside of the rear tire. The fitment on these are great so you wont have any issues with carbon overhanging..etc

Once the splitters are adhered, go ahead and pilot in your two self tapping screws and you are set.

I really like how these add a level of aggression to the rear of the car that flows extremely well with a rear carbon diffuser and rear carbon trunk spoiler!
