F30 BIMMERCODE: ACOUSTICAL LOCK & UNLOCK

If your vehicle has an alarm, you can code in acoustical lock confirmation when you lock and unlock your car. This is a simple beep or double beep noise upon lock and unlock.

We will be using the application called Bimmercode to code this feature out, you can download the app for IOS or ANDROID. Check if your car is compatible HERE.

Bimmercode’s website suggests using the Veepeak Bluetooth Adapter, in order to connect your phone to the car via bluetooth.

Let’s jump into the coding process!

Open bimmercode, plug your Veepeak Adapter into the OBD2 port (located near your left foot in the driver’s side footwell)

Select your adapter: Veepeak OBDCheck BLE, then select your vehicle (In my case, BMW 3 Series, F30)

Once bimmercode loads up, you will be heading into the HEADUNIT category, then select Acoustical Lock Confirmation. Select active, then hit code in the top right.

Next, we will hop into the Roof Function Center category. There are multiple things we can code here. Take a look at the following images, each category has its very own description, telling you what that change would do to your car. Code your desired parameters here.

After you are finished coding, you can head over to your idrive settings in your car. Settings - Door Locks - Acoustic Lock. From there you should be all set, the car will not beep upon locking and unlocking.
