Upgrading the angel eye’s in your e90 is a quick and easy way to modernize the front end of the car. This also changes the hue from yellow to more of a white/blueish hue. If you are interested in buying these 6000k Angel Eye Led’s you can do so HERE.

Here are the tools we will need to perform this install:

First step, pop the hood. You will see a plastic cover just behind the headlight in the engine bay on both sides of the car. We will need to pop those off, use a trim tool and it will come right out exposing the rear headlight assembly.

You will now see a cluster of wires, and a larger plug facing up directly towards you. That is the plug that connects to the headlight rings. In order to remove the headlight bulb, reach behind the bulb and turn counter clockwise a quarter turn. It should release freely. You can then back out the bulb and unplug the harness.

Open up your new headlight bulbs, be sure not to touch the actual bulbs. The grease or oils on your hands can damage them. Wear gloves if necessary.

Go ahead and plug the new harness into the harness that you removed your old bulbs from in the car. You’ll notice you have extra wires and a box for the electronics. All of this will be tucked away behind the headlight assembly. Use a zip tie if needed.

Throw the plastic cap back on, and repeat the same process on the other side. Finished!

Here is a comparison of the stock bulbs VS the new 6000K bulbs:
